Nonprofit organization, focused on historic preservation, is searching for an energetic individual with entry-level experience in the trades to assist with the mowing, repair, maintenance, security and improvement of properties and structures within Ferry Farm and the Historic Kenmore. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Lawn cutting, week whacking and other landscape maintenance (approx. 65% of the job).
• General carpentry, plumbing, painting and other tasks to maintain the properties and structures. (approx. 30% of the job).
• Work across departments to provide support for event setup, emergency response efforts and all other service requests within the Buildings and Grounds scope of work. (5%)

Skills and Requirements:

• Must have a basic knowledge of tools and equipment, i.e. mowers, power tools, excavators and misc. hand tools.
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be available to work some evenings and weekends.
• Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be able to perform work at heights over 20 feet.

• A full benefits package is available to full-time staff including health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, retirement plan with employer contribution and match and paid time off. Occasional OT at 1.5 hourly rate.

Hourly Pay up to $18 per hour based on experience.
